Resolution on Bill Hicks off/on lead reserve

In accordance with a Council Resolution of the 16 December 2019 Ordinary Council Meeting and change to conditions for dogs being “off lead” within the Reserve R50321 - Bill Hicks Reserve, located on Plaistowe Boulevard, Byford, that the following “off leash dog exercise area” conditions will now apply:

  1. a)     That short term designation of the Bill Hicks Reserve as an “off leash dog exercise area” remains until 14 February 2020;
  2. b)     That from 15 February 2020, the Bill Hicks Reserve is designated as an “off leash dog exercise area” between the hours of 0500hrs and 0900hrs only”, and that dogs must be on a lead at other times;
  3. c)     That the Byford Bark Park located on Larsen Road, near the intersection of San Simeon Boulevard, is now designated as an “off leash dog exercise area”.

Residents are reminded that dogs must be on a lead at all other times in public places, and that residents who use the “off leash dog exercise areas” are to ensure that their dogs are under their direct control at all times which will avoid confrontation or altercations with other dogs.
