Helping young people aged 12–25 access leadership and training programs to empower community impact.

About the Grant

The Youth Leadership and Training Grant provides up to $200 (ex GST) to support eligible participants in cost of conferences, training courses, camps or leadership development opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged between 12–25 years
  • Reside in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale
  • Must not have received a Youth Leadership and Training Grant in the same financial year
  • Submit your application at least 30 days prior to the program start date
  • Participants only — coaches, support staff, or chaperones are not eligible

Program Requirements

  • The program must be reputable with accredited trainers or providers
  • The event must enhance leadership or community-focused skills of the applicant
  • Required attachments include:
    • Course confirmation or enrolment details
    • Course outline or provider documentation
    • Proof of residency (e.g., driver’s licence, utility bill)
  • Receipts must be retained—refunds may be revoked if attendance isn’t confirmed
  • If a successful applicant does not attend, all funds must be reimbursed to the Shire.
