Print from home: You can email documents for printing before you arrive. In the Library, you can then pay for and release your print job via the self-serve kiosk.
Printing and photocopying costs
Please note:
- When photocopying, select the correct paper size on the copier before paying.
- You will only be charged for the copies/prints made. Any remaining balance will be released back to your account.
Laminating
Laminating is available in A4 and A3 sizes.
- A4: $2.20 per page
- A3: $5.50 per page
Scanning
- Scanning is free of charge.
- Scan documents and email them to a nominated email address.
3D Printing
As 3D printing takes time, filament, and space within the Makerspace, there are charges for the use of the 3D printer.
- The first hour is $10, then it is $3 per hour until the print finishes.
- Library staff do not create or adjust files for patron printing. Patrons are responsible for finding their own 3D print files.
- Patrons are responsible for any post-processing of the print once it is finished (ie removal of supports)
- If you wish to slice your own files, the preferable slicer to use is Flashprint set up for a Flashforge Guider IIS
- The Library only accepts sliced files in .gx format
The 3D printing process is as follows:
- Patrons send Library staff the following:
- 3D files they wish to print
- Preferred size of the print
- Preferred filament colour used for printing (single colour only)
- Library staff will then process the files through our slicing program, then report back the printing ETA and price.
- If price and ETA are accepted by the patron, staff will begin the 3D print at their next convenience.
- Once print is finished, final price is set and payment is accepted in exchange for the print.
Please speak to library staff if you have any questions regarding this process.
