Serpentine Falls

Serpentine Falls is located within the beautiful Serpentine National Park . You can enjoy a picnic, swim, take a walk on one of the trails and enjoy the local wildlife, including friendly kangaroos.

Description

The Serpentine Falls are the crowning jewel of the picturesque Serpentine National Park. This scenic national park is located just 55 kilometres southeast of Perth, meaning it’s a must do day trip.

Entrance to the Serpentine National Park is via Falls Rd Serpentine, and a National Park entrance fee applies.

A 400m walk along the gravel Falls Walk Trail, which leaves from the car park, will lead you to the Serpentine Falls viewing platform. From here you can marvel at the falls, and if it is a beautiful day, cool off in the water. From the falls you can also venture onto to Kitty's Trail and Baldwins Bluff Trail with more information on the Shire's trails page.

Things you need to know before visiting Serpentine National Park

  • Park Fees Apply- Click here - Please note that residents are able to buy an annual pass. For more information click here.
  • Gates open at 8.30am and close at 5 pm.
  • In summer, and on the weekend, the park reaches capacity quickly - it is recommended you arrive by 10 am.
  • No alcohol or glass is allowed in the park.
  • Please do not feed any native animals or birds.
  • Dogs aren't permitted in the park.
  • Picking wildflowers is not allowed.

Getting Here

  1. From Perth, take the Kwinana Freeway
  2. Turn at Mundijong Road until you reach South Western Highway
  3. Travel south on South Western Highway until you reach Falls Road
  4. Follow Falls Road until you reach the entrance to Serpentine National Park
