The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is teaming up with WA Health’s Breast Cancer Team and the East Metropolitan Health Service to raise awareness for the early detection of breast cancer.

SJ residents are invited to join us for morning tea on Thursday, 26 October 2023 from 10.30am at the SJ Community Resource Centre as we shine the light on the importance of early breast cancer checks.

Did you know one in every eight women in WA is affected by breast cancer by the age of 85?

This event will bring together advocates, medical professionals and community members dedicated to raising awareness for breast cancer research, early detection and support.

The event will offer informative workshops and discussions on early detection, prevention and healthy living. Show your support by dropping in and enjoy conversations with locals over some morning tea, fruit and biscuits.
