Committees and Advisory Groups

We are currently experiencing an unprecedented emergency with COVID-19  and the health and wellbeing of our community, staff and Councillors is of the utmost importance to us during this time.

At the Special Council Meeting held 23 March 2020, Council resolved to defer the appointment of community members to advisory groups at this time.

We will provide an update as soon as we are able to, in order to progress appointments to Advisory Groups.


Council has established two Committees of Council under section 5.8 of the Local Government Act 1995.

These are:

  • Audit, Risk and Governance Committee
  • CEO Employment Committee

Advisory Groups

Council has established four Advisory Groups with external membership:

  • Access and Inclusion Advisory Group
  • Cemeteries Advisory Group
  • Local Emergency Management Committee
  • Bush Fire Advisory Committee
