Borrow the joy, skip the waste
Reusable bunting is available to borrow, for free, to decorate your next birthday, school event, family celebration or other milestone, offering a fun, eco-friendly alternative to disposable decorations.
If you’d like to bring colour and community spirit to your next event or local community celebration, borrowing some bunting is a beautiful and sustainable way to do so!
Our Bunting Library actually makes its home at the Byford branch of SJ Library Services. You will need to be a member of the library to borrow, but this is a really quick (and free) process which also give you access to the full library collection. If you’re not already a member, you can join by visiting the Byford branch, or Mobile Library with your ID, or even by starting the process online. Then, once you’re a member, you can borrow any of the bunting that is currently available and residents of the Shire's southern suburbs can also easily arrange pick up of their chosen bunting via the Mobile Library.

How to reserve bunting
If the bunting you want is already on loan or you’d like to arrange pick up from the Mobile Library, you can make a reservation in any of the following ways:
- By phone – Contact the library team and they’ll arrange it for you
- By email – Send through your request and we’ll take care of the booking
- Online catalogue – Simply place a reservation and be sure to select the pickup location
