Through regular consultation, the Shire considers the wants and needs of the community. Each year, Council adopts a budget to reflect them. The rates you pay allow the Shire to fund these wants and needs, after considering all other forms of revenue (e.g. Federal and State funding and various fees and charges).

Pensioner and Seniors Rebate
If you own and occupy your property as your ordinary place of residence on 1 July of the current financial year, you are eligible to apply for a rebate or deferment of your rates and emergency services levy.
To be eligible for a rebate, please register with the Water Corporation.
