Ovals and reserves across the Shire will be renovated and refreshed over the coming weeks as local clubs gear up for the summer sports season.

Eight major grounds will receive a facelift as part of the extensive program, with turf works to include scalping, aerating and fertilising as required.

With the footy season now at an end and our Mundijong Centrals having safely secured the premiership cup, works will begin at Mundijong Oval on Monday, 18 September.

The full list of reserves set for maintenance include:

  • Mundijong Oval
  • Briggs Park Upper Oval
  • Briggs Park Lower Oval
  • Bill Hicks Reserve
  • Kalimna Oval
  • Clem Kentish Oval
  • Serpentine Polo Cross Reserve
  • Serpentine Horse and Pony Club

The $55,000 program will ensure these key sporting facilities are in tip-top shape ahead of the summer season.
