The SJ Library Services are launching into August by celebrating the completion of their beautiful new home in Byford.
To help mark the occasion the Library is holding a special Saturday series of events for both children and adults. Get in quick as places are limited.
All of the usual programs are also back. Check out what the Library has going on this month below.
We are also offering private tours by library staff for any visitors. Please ask staff at the customer service desk if you would like a tour of the exciting new spaces.
Super Saturday Events Series
STEAM Ahead!
Join us for a STEAM extravaganza! Designed for children aged 5-12, this session contains science, technology and art elements.

Maker Space Discovery Session
A session for adults to try out our new tech. Have a look at our 3D printer in action or you can walk in space with our VR goggles!
Also try our new sewing machines with a sustainable Sew-Your-Own Library Bag Workshop (please BYO old sheet, or other material).

Cosplay 101 – dress to impress!
Costume artist Lauren Reynolds from Vulpine will teach you how to craft a superhero cape on a budget!
Lauren will chat about her background in fashion and her cosplay journey. Feel free to wear your cosplay best. This workshop is for teens and adults. Places limited.

Volunteer with SJ Library Friends
The SJ Library Friends is a dedicated group of volunteers who provide support and help promote the SJ Library Service within the community.
The group holds regular events during the year and hold a monthly second-hand book sale.
The SJ Library Friends are always happy to welcome new members - membership $5 per year.
Application forms can be collected from the library.

Can’t get to the library in Byford? The SJ Library Services Mobile Library Van is on the road! ππππ
We’ll be at the following locations from 9am – 12pm:
π Monday - Serpentine Jarrahdale CRC car park, 2 Paterson Street, Mundijong
π Wednesday - St John's Ambulance Hall car park, Wellard Street, Serpentine
π Thursday - Bruno Gianatti Hall car park, Munro Street, Jarrahdale
WiFi, printing, scanning, and photocopying facilities are also available at the Mobile Library.
