Shire profiles local legends to celebrate National Volunteer Week 2023

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale will be shining the spotlight on some of its local legends as we celebrate National Volunteer Week 2023 from 15-21 May.

Volunteers play an integral role in our community, working tirelessly for local events, initiatives and organisations to help make Serpentine Jarrahdale a great place to live.

From local sporting clubs through to emergency services and community groups, our local volunteers keep our community connected and support those in need.

While their work never stops, National Volunteer Week is a great chance to celebrate the people who go above and beyond.

Across the week the Shire will be releasing a series of videos profiling local volunteers through its social media platforms.

This video campaign was made possible through a National Volunteer Week Grant administered by Volunteering WA and supported by Lotterywest.

Each video will highlight the numerous benefits of volunteering including getting outside and active through to promoting good mental health.

We invite you to join in the National Volunteer Week celebrations by thanking a volunteer for their efforts in our community.
