The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has reaffirmed its commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement by announcing a significant 5-year contract with Landcare SJ. The decision strengthens the partnership between the Shire and Landcare SJ, paving the way for further collaborative efforts, such as the pre-existing free verge planting program.

Shire President Cr Rich thanked the Mundijong based not-for-profit for its ongoing commitment: "We extend our sincere appreciation to Landcare SJ for their dedication and the positive impact they have on our local environment and community", said Cr Rich.  

“This collaboration is all about working towards our shared vision of a sustainable and thriving regional ecosystem. This will allow us to foster greater community involvement and empower residents to become active participants in environmental conservation,” said Cr Rich.

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale recognises the valuable contribution Landcare SJ plays in preserving and enhancing the natural assets of the Shire.

The Shire’s five-year partnership with Landcare will ensure continuity of important projects such as tree planting, waterway restoration, endangered species habitat creation and educational events, all vital for the long-term sustainability of our natural environment.
