The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has regained is status as a Waterwise Council, recognising its commitment to adopting sustainable water management practices.

The Waterwise Council Program, a collaboration between the Water Corporation and the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation, supports the local governments in implementing water-efficient strategies.

Through this initiative, the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale has demonstrated its dedication to conserving water resources and promoting environmental responsibility within the community.

Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale President Rob Coales said the Shire was pleased to be acknowledged for its water-saving efforts.
“Receiving gold waterwise status shows our significant contributions towards the development of waterwise communities. Living waterwise is, however, a shared responsibility,” Rob Coales said.

“With climate change and the population growth placing a strain on our water sources, it’s important that we work together to conserve this invaluable resource.”
