New LED streetlights installed at local intersections

Brand new LED streetlights are shining bright at three local intersections across the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

Each year the Shire allocates funding from its Annual Budget to upgrade and install new streetlights at locations identified by residents.

The Shire's 2022/23 Budget has allocated funding for LED lights to be installed at the following intersections:

  • Mundijong Road and Lampiter Drive (installed)
  • King Road and Coyle Road (to be completed)
  • Karnup Road and Yangedi Road (installed)

The new lights have helped to provide improved safety and visibility in these areas.

LED streetlights consume 50% less energy than standard lights, with the average bulb lasting 15 years before it needs to be replaced.
