A stretch of Kingsbury Drive which has seen three fatal road crashes in five years is set to receive an upgrade.

Works to the 2.1km long section in Serpentine, 500m west of Karnet Prison Farm entrance, will include widening and sealing shoulders, removing hazards, and installing pavement markings. 

Construction works are expected to start in early Dec 2023 and be completed by late March 2024 barring any unforeseen circumstances.  A traffic management plan will be in place for the duration of the works to minimise the impact on road users.

The works have been funded through the Australian Government’s Black Spot program, which targets road locations where crashes are occurring or are at risk of occurring.
