We asked Stephen and Sue a few questions about their volunteering experience.

How did you get involved in volunteering for your group?

We moved back from Albany and saw it as a very valuable project to be involved in at our own church.

How long have you been involved in volunteering?

We have been involved in volunteering for about 14 years with various organisations, but with Byford Baptist it has been about 18 months

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

The feeling we are serving our community and in a small way helping to make peoples lives a little better and seeing smiles on their faces as they leave.

What makes your club/group special to you?

The people we work with and the atmosphere that is cheerful and loving to the community that come to us.

Why would you recommend others to get involved in volunteering?

We would definitely recommend anyone to get involved with volunteering as it is a wonderful way to interact with the community we live in and to help people that are in need. It is also very rewarding and makes you feel valued.
