Starting from 19 August 2023, Byford Library will be open from 9am to 3pm on Saturdays, as part of a three-month trial to accommodate the growing demand for its services.

 The library has seen a surge in new members and visitors in the past year, as well as an increase in the number of programs and events on offer.

 Over the past 12 months the Library has registered 1,022 new members and welcomed a staggering 39,132 customers through its doors.

 SJ Library staff have delivered more than 160 programs and events, and more than 72,000 items have been borrowed.

 The extended hours will allow more people to access the library's resources, such as books, DVDs, magazines, computers, Wi-Fi, and online databases. The library also hosts a variety of activities for all ages and interests.

 The trial will run until November and the Shire will evaluate its impact and feasibility. We encourage everyone to visit and share their thoughts and suggestions on the extended hours.
