Breast cancer Awareness Month Information session

Thursday 26th October 2023

(Past Event)

Join us in our mission to empower women to take charge of their health!

Let's transform the breast cancer statistics, inspire change, and write a brighter, cancer-free future for our beloved community in this 2 hour information session.

The WA breast Cancer awareness team and East Metro health services health promotion team will be here to deliver the information session followed by light refreshments.

Why Awareness Matters: Breast cancer awareness isn't just a buzzword; Early detection ensures more effective treatment. Knowledge is power, and with SJ’s support, we aim to shine a spotlight on this vital cause.

Education as a Catalyst: Education is the key to empowerment. It's about equipping women with the knowledge they need to take control of their health and well-being. By understanding risk factors, recognizing symptoms, staying informed about screening methods, and accessing support services, women can make informed decisions and, when necessary, seek assistance.

Lifestyle Choices Matter: Prevention is better than cure, they say, and it's true. Embracing a wholesome lifestyle that includes regular physical activity, a balanced diet, moderating alcohol intake, and staying away from tobacco can be a powerful shield against breast cancer and other chronic illnesses. Together, we'll champion these healthier choices.

Early Detection Saves Lives: Early detection can catch breast cancer in its most vulnerable stage when it's easier to treat and more likely to be conquered. Let's make sure every woman in Western Australia is aware of the importance of regular health checks.

No registrations required.
