Get ready for the long summer days, as the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale gears up for a vibrant 2025-26 season of major events.
A packed program is set to bring people together across the community from October through to April, and things kick off with Pups in the Park on Saturday 11 October at Byford Bark Park.
The pet-friendly event will feature stallholders, interactive training sessions, and a best-dressed pet competition – perfect for furry friends and their humans.
Later in the month, Lights, Sirens and Superheroes returns on Friday 24 October at Mundijong Oval. This family favourite celebrates the efforts of emergency services volunteers while promoting bushfire preparedness, with plenty of fun including superhero appearances and emergency crew demonstrations.
In November, the Shire welcomes back the much-loved Outdoor Movie Night at Clem Kentish Reserve on Saturday 15 November, after a year’s break. Families can relax under the stars, enjoy a family-friendly film on the big screen, and sample food trucks and local produce.
The festive spirit will take over Paterson Street in December, with the iconic Christmas Street Festival on Friday 5 December. Now a firm family tradition in SJ, the night will feature roving performers, markets, light installations, a community concert, and of course a visit from Santa.
Summer continues into January with the Summer Splash at Clem Kentish Reserve on Saturday 17 January. Giant inflatable slides, a splash zone and live music will help locals beat the heat, while the Australia Day Big Brekky on Monday 26 January will bring the community together for a free breakfast to reflect, respect and celebrate.
The fun continues into 2026, with a diverse line-up including:
- Multicultural Night Market (21 March) – a Harmony Week celebration of food, music and culture.
- Muddy Buddies (10–11 April) – SJ’s signature sell-out event where families can get messy in nature at Jarrahdale Oval.
- Anzac Day Dawn Service (25 April) – a chance to pause and commemorate at the Mundijong War Memorial, followed by a community breakfast and morning tea.
