Equine Advisory Group

The Equine Advisory Group provides community-based advice to the Shire on matters relating to horses, equine land use, safety and local amenity. The group brings together community representatives and industry voices to support planning, policy and projects that enhance the Shire’s equine areas.

What the group does

  • Provides advice to the Shire on equine-related matters
  • Supports planning for safe, accessible equine spaces
  • Identifies opportunities to strengthen the local equine community
  • Offers feedback on policies, programs and strategic projects

Membership

The group includes community members, equine industry representatives and Shire staff. Members are appointed through an Expression of Interest process.

Meetings

The group typically meets quarterly, or as required.
