Environmental Policies

Environmental Management

• As a proud Waterwise Council, we implement sustainable water practices and infrastructure to protect our precious resources.
• Our Reserve Management Plans show how we manage our reserves in Banksia Woodland, Marri Woodland, Clay-Based Wetlands and the Scarp & Plateau Woodlands.
• The Significant Tree Register provides a mechanism whereby trees that are recognised as being significant due to aspects such as age, size or historical context can be flagged for protection.
• Clear guidelines for Condition Clearance for Subdivision, ensuring environmental values are upheld during development.
• Species Lists tailored to local soil types and regions, helping residents and developers choose native plants that support biodiversity.
