Major Event Grants

The Shire’s Major Event Grant Program runs twice a year, with funding rounds opening in February and July/August.

Current round

Applications for the February round are open from Sunday 8 February to Sunday 8 March.

Major Event Grants of between $5,000 and $25,000 ex GST are available to support local community groups.

What funding can support

Funding can go towards delivering a community, sporting or cultural event that will positively impact the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale community and will attract attendees from within the Shire and surrounding areas.

Funding Criteria

We encourage applications that:

  • Build a sense of community and belonging.
  • Celebrate cultural diversity and heritage.
  • Encourage residents to be healthy, active and engaged in community life.
  • Align with the Shire’s strategic plans and priorities.
