Price guide
The aim of the SJ Reuse Shop is to recycle items so you can grab a bargain from as little as 50 cents!
Here is an example of the prices you might expect to see on some of the more common household items at the shop.
- Books/DVDs/CDs/PC Games/Records: $1 each or three for $2
- Bicycles: $15 each or 2 for $20
- Blankets/quilts/covers/curtains: $5 each or $10 for a set
- Towels/mats/sheets: $2 each or two for $3
- Kitchenware (bowls, plates, containers): $1 each or 3 for $2
- Picture frames/prints/paintings: $2 small, $5 large
The full price guide for smaller items will be displayed in the SJ Reuse Shop. Larger items such as furniture will vary in price.
All items will be sold "as is" and may not be fit for their original purpose.
Shop n Swap for kids
There will be a children’s library section where books (early learning to primary school age) and DVDs can be swapped like for like.
Plus, babies grow so quickly and go through a lot of clothes and accessories, so while we would prefer that usual clothing donations go to the charity bins on-site at the Waste Transfer Station, the “Shop n Swap” section will include kids clothing and accessories.
You can bring in a similar clothing donation and swap it for free items from the Shop n Swap section.
