The Unrestricted Burning Period is now in effect in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

During the Unrestricted Burning Period residents:

  • Can burn on Sundays and public holidays
  • Can burn at any time of the day
  • Don't need a permit to burn

Residents must keep in mind that it is still your legal responsibility to check the Fire Danger Rating in the Shire prior to burning. If the Fire Danger Rating is HIGH or above, or if a Total Fire Ban is in place, all burns are strictly prohibited.

When burning, please remember to consider your neighbours, keep the burn contained, and make sure it’s fully extinguished once complete. If your burn escapes, call 000 immediately.
