Whether you're managing a large equine facility or caring for a single horse, this workshop will provide you with the knowledge and tools to create and maintain an effective composting system. Led by Serpentine local, composting expert, and horse lover, Robyn Brown from Waste is My Resource, this workshop will cover:

  • The science behind composting manure
  • Best practices for managing stall waste
  • Aeration, moisture control, and carbon-to-nitrogen ratios
  • Choosing the right composting method for your property
  • Environmental benefits and legal considerations
  • How to use finished compost to enrich soil and reduce waste
