Cooking with MasterChef Contestant, Alex Crisp! - School Holiday Program (Ages 12-17)
Monday 13th April 2026
As part of the Shire's School Holiday Program, we are extremely excited to have former MasterChef contestant and cooking guru, Alex Crisp come down to our Byford Youth Space and teach a cooking workshop!
This practical, hands-on workshop introduces young people to making potato gnocchi from scratch, alongside two, from scratch, seasonal sauces. The session focuses on real cooking skills, confidence in the kitchen, and understanding how fresh, whole foods come together to create a complete meal. After participants have completed the workshop, they will sit down together and enjoy the fruits of their labour at a long table lunch. Students will also participate in setting and clearing the table and will each be given a recipe card to take home and replicate in their own kitchen.
