Bin collection basics

To help ensure your bins are collected correctly:

  • Place bins on the verge by 6am on your collection day

  • Position bins with the lid opening facing the road

  • Leave space between bins and away from obstacles such as parked cars, trees and power poles

  • Remove bins from the verge as soon as possible after collection

Bin lid springs

If your household bin lids are blowing open and scattering rubbish, you can get a bin lid spring to help keep the lid closed.

One free set (two springs) per household is available to residents.
One size fits all standard wheelie bins.

How to collect your bin lid springs

Visit our Operations Depot in Mundijong (corner of Butcher Street and Whitby Street) between Monday and Thursday.

Ring the bell at the Butcher Street gate and a staff member will assist you.

Please bring proof of residency (such as a driver’s licence or rates notice), as your details will be recorded against your household.
