NAIDOC Week Movie "Wash my Soul in the River's Flow"

Friday 8th July 2022

(Past Event)

Celebrate NAIDOC Week in 2022 with a screening of the beautiful celebration of two of Australia's most beloved musicians in “Wash my Soul in the River's Flow”.

Seventeen years in the making, “Wash my Soul in the River's Flow” is a cinematic reinvention of a legendary concert.

A celebration of the love, lives and luminous talent of artists Archie Roach and Ruby Hunter.

Over two years Ruby and Archie collated with Paul Grabowsky and the Australian Art Orchestra to create the seminal 2004 concert Kura Tungar: Songs from the River.

The story of their lives, as told through their music and lively yarns, celebrates country and culture, resilience, and family.
