Heavy Horse & Breed Spring Show

Don't miss this opportunity to see the magnificent Heavy Horse Breeds in action during the day, but also the ability to get up close and personal with them.
The Australian Heavy Horse Association Inc - WA Branch's spring show is a mixture of a breed, harness and ridden disciplines, where they present the horses for judging based on their breed characteristics, then place them in harness and look at their skills being driven (recreating what they were bred for) and then participating in ridden classes, which shows off their versatility in the modern world.
The purpose of the show is to promote all Heavy Horse breeds (Pure and Part Breeds) including, but not limited to Belgian Draft, Clydesdale, Fell, Friesian, Welsh D, Gypsy Cob, Irish Draught/ISH, Morgan, Percheron, Shire, Suffolk Punch, Waler and Drum Horse and their history in farming and the development of the agricultural side of Australia as well as their versatility in the modern day in disciplines such as dressage and eventing.
The following classes will be available on the day:
- In Hand Breed Exhibits for both Pure Breed and Part Breed Horses
- Harness Classes - These will be long reining driving classes. (No pulling or carts) - Junior and Adult classes
- Ridden Breed and Age Classes
- Novelties
- Novice Classes
There will be Grand Champion Exhibit of the Show for the following: Breed, Harness and Ridden.
