Little Voices Big Say – SJ community consultation gets underway

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is asking parents and caregivers to have their say on how the Shire supports children aged 0–11 and the people who care for them.

The Little Voices, Big Say online survey is the first step in shaping the Shire’s first dedicated Children and Families Plan.

Alongside the survey, Shire staff will run pop-up activities for kids at community events including the Jarrahdale Log Chop, Byford Train Station community open day, and the Shire’s Lights, Sirens and Superheroes event.

Parents and caregivers who complete the survey can enter the draw to win one of three $50 supermarket vouchers. Local service providers will also be invited to complete a separate survey to share their experiences working with children in SJ.

The survey is open now and closes Sunday 26 October. The new Children and Families Plan will be in place from 2026.
