Special Storytime for National Reconciliation Week

Djurpin Ninni Yongkas – Happy Little Kangaroos

As part of National Reconciliation Week, Byford Library is pleased to present Djurpin Ninni Yongkas – Happy Little Kangaroos, delivered by Milliyaan Aboriginal Services.

This engaging Storytimeis designed for children aged 3–7 years and offers a fun and interactive introduction to Noongar culture and language through storytelling, music, movement, and creative play.

Children will enjoy:

• Age-appropriate storytelling

• Ochre face painting

• Song and dance activities

• Learning animal names and numbers in Noongar language

• A joyful cultural experience celebrating connection, learning, and community

Presented by Milliyaan Aboriginal Services, Djurpin Ninni Yongkas – Happy Little Kangaroos invites children and families to learn, play, and celebrate together at Byford Library.
