The Council considered a complaint related to the Shire President Rob Coales at the October Council meeting.
The complaint was considered behind closed doors in accordance with the Shire’s Code of Conduct for Elected Members, Committee Members and Candidates and the Local Government Act 1995.
Council determined the complaint in relation to President Coales was unsubstantiated.
President Coales noted that while the complaint was unsubstantiated, he respectfully apologised to the resident for any concern caused.
“I understand the resident may have found my approach unexpected, and I acknowledge their concerns.
“My intent has always been to engage openly and listen to our community, and I remain committed to doing so with respect and transparency.”
To protect the privacy of the complainant no further information on the matter will be published.
