The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is excited to announce a series of events celebrating Volunteer Week from 20 – 26 May. This week-long celebration highlights the invaluable contributions of volunteers and encourages residents to join the volunteer community that plays a pivotal role in shaping our Shire.
Shire President Rob Coales expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming events, stating, “Volunteering is the backbone of our community. It fosters a sense of belonging, enhances personal well-being, and creates a stronger, more resilient community. We invite everyone to participate in our Volunteer Week activities to see firsthand the impact of volunteering and to consider becoming a volunteer themselves.”
“We’re opening our volunteer celebrations to the community to reflect our commitment to accessibility and community engagement. It’s a good opportunity for our residents to appreciate all our volunteers.”
President Coales also encouraged the community to be part of something bigger. “Let’s celebrate together and thank everybody who has been a pivotal part of shaping our Shire.”
