The Great Global Mend is Australia's biggest simultaneous repair event: many hundreds of people across the country, all mending something at the very same moment, in an attempt to break our 2025 record (298 menders) for the most people repairing textiles simultaneously. the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale and Switch Your Thinking are proud to be taking part this year.

You don't need any sewing experience, menders will be there to help you fix your item from scratch, whether that's sewing on a button, patching a hole with a FabPatch, or mending a hem. Bring a basic hand-sewing kit if you have one, or just bring yourself; we have everything covered.
