Shared Path Construction Works along Wellard Street, Karnup Road and Falls Road

The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale gives notice of the upcoming construction of a shared walking and cycling path along Wellard Street, Karnup Road and Falls Road. This project is an important initiative aimed at improving connectivity, safety, and accessibility for the community.
The works will be delivered in two stages:
- Stage 1: From Wellard Street (near Maxwell Street intersection) extending along
Wellard Street and Karnup Road towards South Western Highway
- Stage 2: From South Western Highway along Falls Road, connecting through to
the entry of the Serpentine National Park.
The civil contractor, Axiis Contracting, has been engaged to deliver the works, with construction expected to start in the second week of May. The contractor will provide further notification to residents prior to commencing physical works on site.
Please note:
- No full road closures are anticipated during the works
- Traffic management measures will be in place at all times to ensure public safety
and minimise disruption
- There may be short periods where property access is temporarily restricted
during certain construction activities. You will be notified in advance by the
contractor if this affects your property
- Bin collection services will not be affected. Please continue to place your bins out
as usual on your scheduled collection day
