Published on Thursday, 29 October 2026 at 11:01:10 AM

In accordance with section 3.50 of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given that the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale is required to make thoroughfare changes to:

  • Scott Road west of 35 Taylor Road; and
  • Sundial Road east of 84 Scott Road.

These changes will involve the construction of cul-de-sacs at both locations to facilitate construction of the Tonkin Highway Extension and Thomas Road Upgrade (THETRU) Project.

These changes will take effect following the reopening of Mundijong Road in December 2026.

Future Road Layout

Access for properties on Sundial Road will be maintained via local access arrangements including Samson Drive via Thompson Road. Access for properties on Scott Road will be maintained via Taylor Road.

Bushfire safety and emergency response are key considerations in planning the closures. The Shire and the THETRU project team are working with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services to ensure emergency access routes are incorporated into the future road arrangements.
