Support Services Directory now available for SJ community

We've proudly developed a Support Services Directory designed to help SJ community members easily connect with local and nearby support when they need it most.

The directory brings together a wide range of important services in one place, including:

  • First points of contact
  • Crisis support
  • Homelessness
  • Op shops
  • First Nations counselling and crisis support
  • Emergency contacts
  • Children and family support
  • Family and domestic violence
  • Health
  • Youth services
  • Counselling services
  • Legal and financial support, and
  • Mental health support

By making this information easy to access, the directory aims to reduce barriers and help people find the right support whenever they need.

Recently, the directory was shared at the Homelessness We Care Christmas Event in Byford, an event we proudly supported through our Major Event Grant Program. The event offered a welcoming space for people during the festive season, and hard copies of the directory were available to help attendees connect with ongoing support beyond the day. Homelessness We Care Serpentine Jarrahdale and Surrounds is just one of many dedicated organisations included in the directory, working year-round to support the SJ community.

The Support Services Directory is available to download on our website and by clicking the link below.

Hard copies can also be requested by speaking with our friendly Customer Services team at the Shire's Administration Building. We will also have some copies available at the Byford Library, Neighbourhood Watch barbecues, and some events where the Shire's Community Safety team are in attendance.

We encourage community members to share the directory with family, friends, and neighbours - you never know when it might make a difference.
