The Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale will enter the Prohibited Burning Period on Monday 1 December 2025. It will be in effect until 31 March 2026, subject to change based on weather conditions.

Shire residents are prohibited from carrying out any burning activity on their properties during this period. If you see smoke or witness a fire, please call 000.

Residents and ratepayers are encouraged to sign up to our SMS Alert Service so you can receive fire ban notifications straight to your phone. It’s free, and you can opt in and out at any time. 

This service is not an emergency alert system. People living and working in the Shire who witness a fire should always call 000.
