Ten native grass trees have found a new home in Heritage Park, Jarrahdale, after spending the past 12 months in a specialist nursery preparing for transplantation.
The trees were carefully relocated during construction of the new Gooralong Carpark near the Kitty's Gorge Trailhead in late 2025, with today's planting marking the next stage of their journey.
The grass trees will form part of the future landscaping of Heritage Park once the lease with the National Trust of Western Australia is finalised, helping preserve the area's natural character for generations to come.
Heritage Park is a much-loved community space, enjoyed by residents, visitors and the weekly Saturday Park Run, and these transplanted trees will become another important part of its unique bushland setting.
