The area surrounding the upgraded bridge and carpark at the entrance to Jarrahdale is receiving its finishing touches, with revegetation works now complete following the bridge upgrade by Main Roads WA in late 2025.

Delivered by Landcare SJ, the winter planting program included weed removal, invasive tree management and the planting of native species to help restore and protect the Gooralong Brook environment.

Councillor and Deputy President Reece Jerrett also joined volunteers in revegetation efforts.

The rehabilitation works will support local flora and fauna while creating a more welcoming arrival into Jarrahdale for residents and visitors alike.

The upgraded carpark also provides improved access for those exploring the township, including the Jarrahdale Heritage Society's Heritage Walks to the historic Centenary Log.

The project is a great example of infrastructure and environmental restoration working hand in hand to benefit the community.
