Byford Skate Park ramps up the fun!

Upgrades to Byford Skate Park are complete - just in time for the school holidays, and there's plenty of action already taking place on the ramps.

This exciting new facility is just a short skate from the new bike pump track, also at Briggs Park, Byford, creating a fantastic new recreation hub for Serpentine Jarrahdale's young people.

The skate park has been busy since opening in late December, with local skater boys and girls making full use of the new ramps, designed to cater for different skill levels and allow progression in a safe environment.

As the fastest growing local government in Western Australia, the Shire continues to advocate for and invest in community infrastructure that meets the needs of a growing population.

Facilities like the skate park give young people a safe, dedicated place to skate, build skills and be active.

The skate park was designed with input from the local community, particularly young people, to ensure it meets their needs now and into the future.

With the school holidays underway, the park is providing a popular local option for young people to stay active close to home, and is also already attracting visitors from across Perth.

The Byford Skate Park upgrade project was delivered with the support of $800,000 in WA Government funding through the Play On WA program an exciting initiative to deliver 2,030 community infrastructure items across WA by 2030.

Funding was also provided by the Shire.
