Business Energy Efficiency – Optimising Your Energy Use & Cutting Costs
Thursday 19th February 2026
Join this online workshop with Business Foundations where they will walk through a practical “treasure-hunt” audit of compressors, motors, HVAC, lighting and idle equipment. Discuss no-cost behavioural fixes, low-cost controls (timers, VSDs, leak repairs) and bigger CAPEX projects (high-efficiency motors, heat-recovery, insulation). During the session, Business Foundations will also outline typical paybacks for WA tariffs and how efficiency underpins later moves to electrification and renewables.
This 1.5 hour online presentation will help business owners and operators to: Spot the top five energy-waste sources in light-industrial facilities Use basic metering and benchmarks to quantify savings Calculate simple payback and prioritise upgrades Link efficiency gains to Scope 1 & 2 reductions and cost competitiveness About the presenter Business Foundations provides advisory and consulting services to small-to-medium sized businesses pursuing decarbonisation and broader environmental sustainability.
They help business owners adopt renewable energy, cut waste, embrace the circular economy and strengthen climate resilience. This is complemented by their work on behalf of governments, corporations and community bodies to drive low-carbon supply-chain management, feasibility studies for sustainable projects, and strategic planning aligned with net-zero and ESG objectives. This workshop is organised by Switch Your Thinking with support from Energy Policy WA in the Department of Energy and Economic Diversification.
