The Kitty’s Gorge Trail follows the Serpentine River from Jarrahdale to the Serpentine Falls

Trail Description

Kitty’s Gorge Trail follows the Serpentine River and Gooralong Brook. Along the way, it passes impressive granite outcrops and the Brook's many waterfalls. It has steep loose sections and uneven ground and requires a moderate degree of fitness. It can be accessed either from the carpark opposite the cemetery in Jarrahdale (Atkins Rd) or from the Serpentine Falls carpark in the Serpentine National Park. If walking from the township of Jarrahdale include the short loop of Stacey’s Track.

Distance: 16km round trip

Duration: Half Day

Trail Grade: 4

(Bushwalking experience recommended).

Things you need to know before visiting Serpentine National Park

  • Park Fees - Click herePlease note that residents are able to buy an annual pass. For more information click here.
  • Gates open at 8.30am and close at 5 pm.
  • In summer, and on the weekend, the park reaches capacity quickly - it is recommended you arrive by 10 am.
  • No alcohol or glass is allowed in the park.
  • Please do not feed any native animals or birds.
  • Dogs aren't permitted in the park.
  • Picking wildflowers is not allowed.
