Water Corporation Project - Paterson Street works

Work is underway

DM Civil are starting work on Paterson St.

This work locating services will pave the way for the instillation of 2.1 kms of water pipeline and has been coordinated with the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

To preserve the streetscape and protect the significant trees located along Paterson Street verge, the pipe will be installed under the southbound traffic lane.

The first stage of this project will begin on Tuesday 27 April.

Residents and businesses should expect some traffic disruption in the area while this essential work is carried out.

When is this work happening?

Water Corporation’s authorised contractor, DM Civil, will begin work in April 2021 and is likely to complete work by November 2021.

The majority of work will be completed Monday to Friday between 7am and 7pm.

Some Saturday work is expected when required by the contractor.

What impact will this work have?

Nearby residents and businesses will notice more noise and activity along the pipeline work area. Construction will involve road cutting, excavating and compacting.

There will be traffic management in place during construction to direct road users and pedestrians safely around the work. A section of Paterson Street southbound traffic lane will be closed while the pipeline is installed.

The northbound lane is expected to remain open.

Traffic management will be in place throughout the project to minimise the impact on residents and businesses.

We thank you for your patience and appreciate your cooperation while this necessary work is carried out.
