Temporary Closure of Brickwood Reserve Track Network

Published on Tuesday, 11 August 2026 at 2:38:29 PM

Sections of Brickwood Reserve will be temporarily closed to the public from 24 August to 16 September 2026 (inclusive) to allow for internal track upgrade works.

To ensure the safety of both the public and contractors, pedestrian access to the reserve will be restricted while these essential civil works are underway. Temporary fencing will be installed at key pedestrian entry points and residents are asked to respect all signage and exclusion zones.

During the construction period, visitors may also notice an increase in heavy vehicle movements in and around the reserve.

While access to the main reserve area will be restricted, the bushland area south of Turner Road will remain open, providing an alternative option for hikers and nature enthusiasts during the works.

The Shire appreciates the community's patience and cooperation while these improvements are undertaken.
