Information about fraudulent emails that appears to come from the Shire

The Shire has been notified that several people have received a fraudulent emails that appears to come from the Shire.
Some of these emails are advertising "China Coin" and other various items.
Additionally there are emails advising them that they have a parcel to collect from the from the wharehouse.
These emails generally have a false email address with random characters like "4cKwwk3yhSHu@sjshire.wa.gov.au". Please note the no Shire email addresses contain random characters.
Anyone that has received this email is advised not to follow any of the links, delete the email and report it to WA ScamNet on either www.scamnet.wa.gov.au/scamnet/Home.htm or 1300 30 40 54.
