Junior Council recently visited Mundijong Fire Station during April’s Junior Council session with Shire President Rob Coales.

Junior Councillors gained a deeper understanding of the team’s roles and responsibilities, as well as the vital contribution our volunteer fire brigade makes to the community.

The students also got to explore the SES truck, operated a fire hose and learned how to safely extinguish a small fire using a fire blanket.

The visit followed a morning session on the levels of government, reinforcing student’s understanding on the Shire’s responsibilities.
