Supported by the @Waste Authority through a WasteSorted grant, this practical, hands-on workshop will show you how to save money while reducing your environmental impact.

Shop Smart: Big Savings, Less Waste will guide you through smart shopping strategies, including meal planning, bulk buying, and making the most of leftovers. Discover how small changes to your shopping habits can cut household waste, lower your grocery bills, and make your pantry more efficient.

During the session, we will cook a variety of healthy, easy and budget-friendly recipes, which will be shared and enjoyed together for lunch. Participants are encouraged to bring a reusable container to take any leftovers home. This workshop is suitable for adults of all cooking abilities and is perfect for anyone looking to save money, reduce waste and shop more sustainably.

After registering, you will receive a follow-up email one week prior to the event asking whether you have any food allergies or dietary requirements (including cultural preferences) so we can cater appropriately.
