Colin Wilson was recognised for his hard work for Pets of Older Persons Western Australia (POOPS WA). Colin received a $100 voucher to a restaurant of his choice located within the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

We asked Colin a few questions about his volunteering experience.

How did you get involved in volunteering for your group?

I was invited by Sheila Twine the founding coordinator of POOPS WA for this area.

How long have you been involved in volunteering?

I've been volunteering for 44 years in various groups.

What do you enjoy most about volunteering?

The satisfaction in helping others and meeting people.

What makes your club/group special to you?

Doing a service for the aged and disabled by exercising and caring for their pet’s needs.

Why would you recommend others to get involved in volunteering?

The satisfaction in helping people.
