Keeping of Horses

Our recently adopted Equine Strategy identified the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale as the leading equine hub in both the Peel Region and the State of Western Australia.  As a result, the Strategy sought to promote/advocate for equine education and skills training to be established in the Shire, together with ongoing community engagement to promote the equine industry.

To assist in addressing this action, the Shire held an Equine Community Forum in July 2019 which provided a forum for the community to obtain accurate and up to date information on what the Shire was doing to promote the industry going forward.

The community also identified that it would be useful to have education materials made available that were locally relevant to land and properties within the Shire.

As a result, the Shire is pleased to launch this interactive information module for community trialing and feedback.

To provide feedback on the module please address your correspondence to 6 Paterson Street, Mundijong, WA  6169 or email info@sjshire.wa.gov.au
